MS-DOS / ATARI TOS ASCI SD CARD FOR THE SATANDISK OR ULTRASATAN DISK HARDWARE.
Hard drive bootable read/writable SD Card for your Atari ST SatanDisk, UltraSatan or equivalent with freeware ICDPRO Atari hard drive drivers installed on the SD Card.
This SD card is MS-DOS (FAT16)/ATARI TOS ASCI partitioned so is readable on modern computers as well as the Atari ST running a SatanDisk, UltraSatan or similar SD card based hard drive emulation hardware.
SatanDisk/UltraSatan is a SD and MMC card adaptor for Atari 16-bit computers, such as the Atari ST invented 2007. The objective is to replace mechanical hard drives available from Atari (SH204, SH205 and Megafile) and compatible products. The interface allows the connection of an SD or MMC card to be attached to the ACSI (Hard Disc) port of Atari Computers, and has been tested to be compatible with TOS versions 1.02 to 2.06. The device appears to the system as any regular ACSI attached hard disc. In 2009 the developer Jookie (Miroslav NOHAJ) introduced a successor UltraSatan which supports two SD/MMC cards in parallel. The adapter features hot-plug capability of the cards and includes a battery backed up RTC chip. Additionally to the commercial HDDriver it is supported by the free ICD PRO.
The SD card is divided into 9 ready to use partitions. Each partition is 230Mb of useable space.
This SD card will read using a SD card reader on Mac OS, Linux, PC and any other systems that support the MS DOS file system. WinImage is the best application to use and mount all partitions on the card as, by default, Windows will only mount and display the first partition due to system protection.
If you have just bought an UltraSatan or SatanDisk, this card will be a great addition to your system.
